Day 1 – Transfer to Kibale Forest and Bigodi Nature Walk
After an early breakfast, you will begin your Uganda Safari Holiday as you are transferred west through tea plantations and rolling hills to reach fort Portal town where you will have a lunch break before proceeding to Kibale National Park.
After checking into the hotel you will embark on a guided nature walk through the dense papyrus at Magombe Swamp whichis part of Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary situated on the edge of Kibale Forest National Park. On your nature walk, you have the chance to spot up to 138 bird species including the Great Blue Turaco, a variety of butterflies and perhaps the real draw card of this swamp; its seven species of monkeys including red colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, L’Hoest, vervet, black and white colobus, blue monkey and baboons.

Day 2 – Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park
After an early breakfast you will be transfered to the Uganda Wildlife Authority park headquarters where you will recieve a quick briefing before embarking on your Uganda Safari Holiday with an exciting chimps trek in Kibale Forest. With an over 90% successful tracking rate, this rainforest is one of East Africa’s premier destinations to chimp track.
You will be escorted throughout your chimps trek by expert guides who will give you more information on the species found here including the 325 bird species, 250 tree species and over 80 species of mammals. Once you’ve found your group of chimpanzees, you will spend one hour with them, observing their humorous hand gestures and facial expressions, their ear-piercing squeals and their death defying leaps through the trees.
You will leave the rainforest and drive south following the Rwenzori Mountain chain to reach the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will enjoy a brief en route stop at the equator line for lunch.
At Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will take an evening game drive through the explosion crater-lake fields expecting to spot a variety of species such as elephants, Uganda kob, bushbuck and troops of baboon.

Day 3 – Game Drive and boat safari on the Kazinga channel
Depart for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains aiming to spot lions hunting in the morning. The Kasenyi plains are a prime location to track prides of lions, which hunt the game herds found here. Expect to spot elephants, buffalo, warthogs, bushbuck, waterbuck and vast herds of Uganda kobs as you be joined on this game drive by a guide from Uganda Wildlife Authority who is an expert in tracking the lions and is very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the savannah.
After lunch, you will explore Kazinga Channel on a water safari as the river flows through the heart of the park and connects Lake Edward and Lake George. On your boat cruise, expect to spot elephants, buffalo, warthogs and waterbucks as they cool off along the river banks in the heat of the day. At the end of your boat trip, you will return to the docks on the Mweya Peninsular.

Day 4 – Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha
You will be transferred to Ishasha Plains in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park for another epic game drive. Ishasha is famous for its iconic tree-climbing lions. They climb trees to catch the cool breezes during the hottest part of the day and avoid the biting insects in the grasses below.
Accompanied by a ranger from Uganda Wildlife Authority, you will track through the open savannah on this game circuit expecting to also spot other wildlife species including elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob and hyenas.
After your game drive, you will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day 5 – Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After the bog Uganda Safari Holiday breakfast, you will transfered to the Uganda Wildlife Authority park headquarters where you’ll be briefed on the gorilla tracking which begins at 8:00am.
You will then be guided into the jungle to track the shy primates. It’s advisable to bring along a rain jacket, and hiking boots. The trek length varies depending on where the gorillas spent the night, ranging from 30 minutes to 7 hours but it is well worth the effort – it is the most magical experience you can see in nature. Once you find the gorilla family, you will spend one hour with them, observing them feed, socialize and display their prowess. At the end of this long and exciting adventure, return to our lodge for a well-deserved shower, dinner and rest.

Day 6- Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, you will then transfer to Lake Mburo National Park driving through winding roads, farmlands and forests. Lake Mburo National Park boasts of a beautiful acacia Savannah terrain and woodlands.
You will embark on an afternoon Uganda Safari Holiday game drive expecting to spot warthog, impala, zebras, oribi, leopard and several savannah bird species some of which include lapwings, hornbills, and cocqui francolin. This park is also home to the eland, Africa’s largest antelope species only found here and Kidepo Valley National Park.
After darkness falls, you will set out to explore this park on a nocturnal game drive on your Gorillas & Wildlife Safari. Guided a by a ranger, you will be scanning the savannah with a spotlight to search for a variety of species including the genet cat, warthog, hippos, spotted hyena and the elusive leopard. You will then return to your lodge for the evening.

Day 7 -Transfer to Entebbe, visit Mabamba swamp and Depature
Starting this day with a sumptuous African breakfast before being transferred to the heart of the park where you will embark on a walking safari in the savannah plains guided by a ranger from Uganda Wildlife Authority. This foot safari is an excellent way to get a different perspective of the park than when driving in your safari vehicle. Expect to get up close and personal with the animals such as warthogs, buffalo, oribi, zebra and impala.
Transfer from Lake Mburo to Mabamba Swamp on the shores of Lake Victoria, driving through Mbarara town and crossing the equator at Mbarara. At Mabamba Swamp, you will set out on the water in a local canoe guided by an expert birder. You will explore the swamp in search of the infamous Shoebill Stork. Reaching about 140cm tall, this bird spends its time wading through the swamp fishing. You will also be able to spot the Grey Crowned Crane, Uganda’s National Bird, Saddle-billed Stork, African Fish Eagle and Malachite Kingfisher.
Your guide will then drive you across town to Entebbe International Airport in time for you to check in and catch your flight out of Uganda.
